It has been a week since last update and what an eventful week it has been.
Early week, Valve announced that they were releasing the pyro update and that already thursday. We were few who believed it would actually come this week, but late Thusday evening all servers restarted, and when people rejoined, they could rejoice themselves with the pyro update. Included in the update was two maps which was converted from custom to official maps, cp_fastlane and ctf_turbine. Furthermore, Valve redesigned ctf_well to be more action packed!
SpA#1 suffered it's first defeats, which unfortunately means they are out of the ETF2L Cup. But be assured, they will be ready for the upcoming ETF2L League.
In other warteam news, Baal Kagan has stepped up as Warteam leader of the newly created SpA#2. If you run a clan and needs some sparring, SpA#2 is now available for friendly clan wars.
Due to the heavy success our guide for the chalkboard MOTD created, Lacop has written a new guide, "How-To: Put live server stats on your website". It was initially decided to wait with member biographies, but due to the community interest on the matter, we have made them anyway. They can be found here. Members are uploaded as they send in their information.
On the internal front, Specialattack management has decided to scrap the TeamSpeak server and get a Mumble server instead. Mumble has a much better voice-quality at a much lower delay.
To help maintaining all our new features, Specialattack has recruited two new TechTeam members from the community. A big congratulations is in order to VictorOfSweden and Frosty, and thanks both of you for stepping up.
We will also urge our community players to keep donating for our cause. We are currently gathering donations for a new gameserver that will boost our gaming capacity with over 10 new servers.
